Soooo ein schönes Auto. Erinnert mich sehr an meine Kindheit und Onkel Dieter, der nur BMW fuhr. So einen natürlich auch, aber in BMW rotorange. Und immer Boxer hatte (namens Cassius & Co). Im tiefsten Niedersachsen wo einfach die Welt noch in Ordnung ist, mittags das Stück Fleisch auf dem Teller (keinesfalls Lamm oder so’n neumodischen Kram) und es – natürlich- Kännchen gibt, was sonst.

Every friday I used to drive my 1971 2002 from Hanau to Frankfurt on route 43 to go dancing in Sachsenhausen. That drive along the Main river is one of my favorite memories.

Great article, the same reaction here in America when I drive my 74 Sahara 2002tii around, lots of thumbs up and people telling me they used to have a 2002 or had friends that had one. One day I will drive my tii from Virginia to California on back roads to include US highway 50 across Nevada. I will not drive US 50 across the Nevada desert in the summer because my tii has no air conditioning.
